Design Consultation

This is a 90-minute in-home meeting where I will discuss your project requirements, review your completed intake questionnaire, and conduct an analysis of your space - taking some basic measurements and pictures, noting issues you may be facing with the current design, and discussing some initial design ideas. This is also your opportunity to assess if I am the right Designer to execute your design vision.

What to expect

1. Requirements review: This part of the process is aimed at understanding your individual style and needs, and we will have a comprehensive discussion about your design aspirations, functional requirements, and any specific challenges or considerations related to your space.
2. Conceptualization and design ideas: We will work together to conceptualize the design direction by exploring themes, styles, and elements that resonate with you, so that my design direction aligns with your vision. If applicable, we will discuss color schemes tto further understand your style and preferences.
3. Site evaluation: During the consultation, we will assess the physical aspects of your space, considering architectural features, layout, and any unique characteristics that may influence the design.
4. Budget discussion: I understand the importance of budget considerations and it is important to set realistic expectations for the project outcome based on budgets. Expect to discuss your budget and priorities, so that I can tailor my design recommendations accordingly.
5. Design process overview: We will discuss my design process to give you insight into the steps we will take to bring your vision to life. This includes discussing timelines, milestones, and potential challenges.
6. Open Q&A: Feel free to ask any questions or seek clarification on aspects of the design process, timeline, or any concerns you may have. I want to make sure that we are on the same page and you feel confident moving forward.
7. Next steps and Statement of Work: Following the consultation, you can expect a summary of our discussion, along with a detailed Statement of Work (SOW) outlining the scope of work, associated costs, and any necessary next steps to initiate the design process within 3 business days.
