Bathroom Design Consultation

This is a 90-minute in-home working session focused on planning your bathroom renovation with clarity and intention before construction begins. During our time together, we’ll review your completed intake questionnaire, walk through your existing bathroom, and discuss what’s not working, what you want to improve, and what’s possible within your space, timeline, and budget.
I’ll take basic measurements, photos, and notes to understand layout constraints, plumbing locations, storage needs, lighting, and ventilation considerations. This consultation is designed to give you clear direction early in the process—and to help you decide if I’m the right designer to guide your project.

What to expect

  1. Bathroom goals & requirements review: We’ll discuss how the space is currently used, what frustrates you, and what you want the new bathroom to do better — whether that’s improved storage, better lighting, easier maintenance, or a more refined overall look.
  2. Layout & design direction (conceptual): We’ll explore high-level layout and design direction, including fixture placement, storage opportunities, and overall aesthetic. This is not final design, but strategic guidance that helps inform all future decisions.
  3. On-site evaluation: I’ll assess the physical space, including existing plumbing locations, ventilation, structural constraints, and architectural features that may influence the design. Identifying these early helps avoid surprises later.
  4. Budget alignment & priorities: We’ll talk openly about your budget range, priorities, and where to spend versus save. This allows me to tailor design recommendations that are realistic and aligned with your investment comfort level.
  5. Design process overview: I’ll walk you through how I approach bathroom projects — from design development and selections to drawings, documentation, and construction support, so you know exactly what to expect if you move forward.
  6. Open Q&A: You’ll have space to ask questions about timelines, materials, contractors, or any concerns you want clarity on. My goal is for you to leave feeling informed, confident, and clear on your next step.

Next Steps:

Within 3 business days of the consultation, you’ll receive:

  1. A written summary of our discussion
  2. A detailed Statement of Work (SOW) outlining scope, deliverables, and fees
  3. Clear next steps to begin the design phase if you choose to proceed
